By making a reservation with us, you agree to have read and accepted the terms and conditions below
GENERAL POLICIES
Smoking, drunkenness, and the use of illegal drugs
Prohibited in the rooms
If you are a smoker, please request a smoking room. There is no additional charge for a smoking room. However, smoking in a non-smoking room will incur a room cleaning fee.
You may also smoke in the designated smoking areas on the rooftop (while enjoying a splendid view of the city and the lake).
Failure to comply with this policy may result in a $100 penalty for room cleaning services.
Not permitted:
The consumption of illegal drugs.
Uncontrolled drunkenness.
Causing disturbances to other guests.
If you break any or all of these rules, your stay at this establishment will be terminated immediately, and you will be asked to leave the property without any compensation or refund.
If you cause damage to our facilities, we will demand payment for all repairs.
Orison reserves the right to take legal action against you without prior notice.
Sexual activity in common areas is prohibited.
Strictly Prohibited.
What you do in the privacy of your room is NOT prohibited. We respect the privacy and intimacy of all our guests.
However, it is strictly prohibited to engage in any form of sexual activity in the hostel’s public areas, such as (but not limited to): common bathrooms, shared dormitories, the terrace, the roof, offices, the reception area, the kitchen, hallways, among others.
Failure to comply with this policy may result in a penalty of $200.00. In addition, we may terminate your reservation at our discretion.
We may also require you to immediately leave the hostel premises without any compensation or refund. You may also be held liable for any loss of items and damage to our facilities, the property of other guests, or any third party affected at the time this policy is breached.
Orison Managua reserves the right to take legal action without prior notice.
Child prostitution is STRICTLY PROHIBITED
We Do Not Promote Child Prostitution
At ORISON MANAGUA, we uphold and promote the code of ethics, laws, and regulations that prohibit child prostitution. Therefore, we do not permit the entry of any minor who is not accompanied by a DIRECT family member, who MUST be properly identified to PROVE such relationship.
Failure to comply with this condition may result in the termination of your reservation at our discretion, without any compensation or refund.

Other policies
Reservation Time Limits
Maximum Stay: The maximum limit for a reservation is 10 days. However, if you need to stay longer, you may make a New Reservation.
Minimum Stay: The minimum stay with us is 1 hour.
Check-In Time: Reservations will be held until 10:00 AM on the day following the scheduled check-in date. If the guest does not arrive by the indicated time, the reservation will be cancelled. There will be no refunds for cancelled reservations.
Check-Out Time: If you do not check out by 11:00 AM, Orison Managua reserves the right to charge for an additional night’s stay or move your belongings to general storage. (Additional fees of $5 per day per suitcase, bag, or backpack will apply for storage). You will be denied any further access to the room.
Reservation Changes
You may make certain changes to your reservation, such as changing the name of the guest; however, this must be done at least 3 days prior to your arrival at the hostal and is subject to a $15 fee
Credits, Changes, and/or Cancellations
If you cancel a reservation and are subject to a $49 cancellation fee, we will provide you with a credit valid for six months. This credit may be used by you or the person who made the cancellation, provided the request was made at least 3 days prior to the check-in date.
You must provide notice of the new reservation date at least 15 days before your arrival and wait for confirmation of the new booking.
If we cancel the reservation because you failed to check in on time, attempted to cancel after the acceptable time frame, or breached any terms and conditions, Orison Hostel will not issue any credit or refund.
About RESERVATIONS
Unpaid Reservations: If a reservation is made but not paid for (e.g., the credit card provided was invalid or the payment was not processed), we will notify you of the issue and wait 24 hours for a response. If we do not receive a response within that time, the reservation will be void. However, if you arrive at our hostel, we will do our best to provide you with an available room.
Reservation Holder Identity: If the person arriving does not have documents proving they are the person named on the reservation, we will be unable to verify the booking. In this case, we may offer a new reservation, subject to room availability and payment of the new booking.
Photo Identification: If the guest does not present a valid government-issued photo ID, we will be unable to provide accommodation at our hostel.
Minors: If the person named on the reservation arrives with a minor and cannot prove a DIRECT family relationship (child, nephew/niece, sibling), they will not be admitted to our facilities.
Luggage Storage Policy
Orison Managua is not responsible for any damage to or loss of items during the storage process.
Storage is a service available to all guests who have a reservation and have checked in with us, or who have completed the check-out process. This service is completely FREE for the first 8 hours.
After the first 8 hours, storage costs $3 per day/item.
Belongings may be stored for a maximum period of 10 days. After the tenth day of storage, the item will become the property of Orison Mangua if it is not claimed by the owner.
Additional Charges
Charges related to taxes and the use of Additional Services may be paid at check-out; however, management reserves the right to charge for additional services at the time they are provided, depending on whether or not you have provided a SECURITY DEPOSIT.
At the time of check-in, it is at your DISCRETION whether or not to provide a security deposit.
Orison Managua is not responsible for any errors made by you at the time of booking.
All sales are final. As we are a budget-friendly Hostal we do not offer any form of returns or refunds.
24/7 Security and Surveillance, All Year Round
Orison Managua has established a CONSTANT surveillance system in ALL common areas of the property, as well as security systems for the protection of our guests, our facilities, and our staff.
By making a reservation at Orison Managua, you explicitly accept our security and surveillance systems.
Guarantees, Damages, and Losses
All guests MUST take full and complete responsibility for any damages caused by them or any person on their reservation, whether inside the room where they are staying or in any other area of the hostel facilities.
For this reason, we require all guests to have a credit card available to serve as a guarantee.
Orison Hostel reserves the right to retain your credit or debit card details for the purpose of ensuring compensation for damages or loss of property caused by the guest and/or their companions.
Additionally, Orison Managua reserves the right to initiate legal action without prior notice.
Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by Nicaraguan law, Orison Managua accepts no liability for events beyond its control, such as (but not limited to): earthquakes, floods, terrorism, protests, strikes, theft, assault, cancellations, delays, third-party negligence, civil disasters, government regulations, acts of God, etc.
We always recommend that our guests obtain comprehensive travel insurance, including coverage for personal injury, loss of property, theft of money, etc., for all their travels.
To the extent permitted by law, Orison Managua liability for damages and other debts is limited solely to the amount the guest has paid for their reservation
Reservation Pricing
The accommodation prices shown on our website are based on a one-night stay and do not include meals (unless expressly stated in the offer) or any other services you may wish to order.
